As a 501 (c) 3/501 (c) 4 non-profit organization, Chinese American Alliance (“CAA”)/Chinese American Alliance Action (“CAA Action”) relies on charitable contributions to fulfill its mission. CAA/CAA Action shall always disclose to potential donors important and relevant information. Every gift will be promptly acknowledged, and donors will be informed of how the gift will be recognized. Specific requests about acknowledgment will be honored consistent with our practices and policies. We reserves the right to refuse a gift if it is determined to be in conflict with the Agency’s mission. The following policies and guidelines govern acceptance of gifts made to CAA/CAA Action for the benefit of any of its operations, programs or services:

  • CAA/CAA Action solicits and accepts gifts that are consistent with its mission.
  • Donations will generally be accepted from individuals, partnerships, corporations, foundations, government agencies, or other entities, without limitations.
  • In the course of its regular fundraising activities, CAA/CAA Action will accept donations of money, real property, personal property, securities, and in-kind services.
  • Certain types of gifts must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special liabilities they may pose for CAA/CAA Action. Examples of gifts which will be subject to review include gifts of real property, personal property, securities and in-kind services.
